One of my most cherished childhood memories is tracing illustrations from storybooks, feeling every curve and line come to life—a moment when I realized the boundless joy of creating something lasting and meaningful.

My journey began in the vibrant sands of 1980s Dubai, where the rich contrasts of a modern oasis and the traditions of my birthplace, Karachi—the "City of Lights"—shaped my early perspective. At five, I moved to Dubai, and life’s interplay of culture, innovation, and design began to inspire me.

From the desert’s heat to Canada’s frosty brilliance, my path has been one of exploration and creativity. After earning my Industrial Design degree from the University of Alberta in 2007, I channeled my passion into crafting enduring furniture designs. Collaborating with companies like IBM and large-scale residential clients, I developed concepts that seamlessly merge form and function.

In 2014, I joined Article, a budding startup, designing over 45 furniture pieces that played a key role in its rise to become Canada’s leading furniture retailer. Many of these designs remain market successes, reflecting a timeless balance of beauty and practicality. What fuels me is the transformation of ideas into products that enhance lives - A fusion of artistry and utility that resonates deeply with all who encounter it.
